About Our Programs

The Jack H. Marston II Melanoma Fund is committed to providing programs that address the devastating experience of melanoma on all levels:

Awareness – For children and adults, sun safety programs, health fair presentations, free skin checks at local events, and the development of school and park district partnerships and sun safety curriculum.

Healing – For those in the process of fighting the disease, the building of the first Jack H. Marston II Healing Garden at Advocate Lutheran Hospital, and the development of programs that provide both practical and emotional support for those in treatment.

Memorials – For those who have lost a loved one, an opportunity to memorialize their lives with other survivors at a Survivors’ Tent at local events, and the development of other meaningful ways to celebrate the lives of those taken by melanoma.

Scholarships – For graduating seniors who have demonstrated a "game on" attitude.
